- The “F in the pentagon” is a test mark according to German weapons law for airsoft weapons over 0.5 joules and a maximum muzzle energy of 7.5 joules
- Every airsoft gun over 0.5 joules that is located in Germany must be marked with this symbol (F in a pentagon)
- Above 0.5 joules muzzle energy, the airsoft gun may only function in semi-automatic (SEMI) mode
- Airsoft guns may only be marked by the German Proof House (PTB)!
So: You may only participate in a German airsoft event with an airsoft weapon in accordance with German law!

- SNIPER: This includes all airsoft weapons approved in Germany that have a minimum overall length of over 1 meter and are clearly recognizable as sniper weapons (e.g. bolt-action weapons with a real model). Attention! Mounting a telescopic sight and a long silencer on an M4 etc. is not sufficient!

- Secondary weapon/back-up: pistols as GBBs and NBBs, as well as S-AEGs with white markings
- HPA systems: Adjustable compressed air systems with an external pressure tank are permitted if the organization can secure the system against adjustment, e.g. by means of a cable tie
- FULL AUTO shooting is ONLY permitted for MG's below 0.5J. For AEP's and AEG's with white markings, the use of full auto mode is prohibited!
Transportation of airsoft guns to the event
In Germany, all airsoft weapons must be transported in a locked container. This includes, for example, gun pouches, cases etc. The airsoft weapon must not be accessible. This is achieved by using a lock on the bag/case.
The ammunition (airsoft BB's) must be transported separately from the airsoft gun, i.e. in a different container (bag, case, etc.). At our events it is mandatory to use organic BBs. These are either included in the ticket or will be handed out at the event. Bringing your own BB's is prohibited.
The battery and magazines do not need to be transported separately. We recommend that you do this anyway.
How can you take part in a German airsoft event?
Europe
Unfortunately, there is no sensible way for you to use airsoft guns at a German airsoft event. Theoretically, you could contact a German gunsmith who would send your airsoft weapon to the Proof House and have it marked with the F in the pentagon. However, this process costs a lot of money.
The simplest solution is to buy an airsoft gun suitable for the German market in a German store and bring it to Germany.
An alternative would be the use of rental weapons. If you need rental weapons for the event, simply contact us using the contact form.
